This was optional for my Biology class, but I wish I would’ve ordered it sooner. This thing is absolutely amazing. The cover was torn where the pages go into a binder, but other than that, it was in great condition

One advantage of this guide is that it provides a lot of small, clear tips that should be helpful to writers of all levels. It's not specifically geared to beginners or experienced writers. The chapters are organized intelligently and include plenty of examples and fill-in templates a reader can practice with. It's also in a pleasing, easy-to-read typeface. I don't know how much spread there is between the rental and purchase price now, but I'd advise buying if it's not too great and you expect to have writing projects for many more semesters or to go into a career that will involve writing.
I wanted to leave (and update) this review to list any typo that I've found in Shigleys Mechanical Engineering Design 10 edition.
An encyclopedic take on mediation background, theory, approaches, techniques - as a beginner, it’s a little daunting knowing how much I need to learn. But also nice to know that this resource will be there all the way.
It served its purpose. It was a required textbook for one of my college courses. We only used it for one assignment and then never looked at it again.
Works really well for the class I am taking.

Needed this for a class.
I had to read many a film theory and criticism book throughout grad school and this was the most pleasurable to read - bar none. A lot of authors write with such drudgery that their books become a chore to read, but not so with Giannetti. His writing style is remarkably easy to read and his information is easily quotable and understandable. I had this book next to me with each paper I needed to write. Whether you make films or simply want to learn more about the explanations of concepts like mise-en-scene, this book is a staple you will continue to go back to for reference.
